This year, the Netherlands will be subjected to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) for the fourth time: the United Nations (UN) human rights exam. The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights provided a report on the human rights situation in our country. In the report, the Institute focuses on the protection of human rights in general, but also on a number of specific themes such as institutional racism, violence against women, housing and safety.
